The White Crackle Raku Necklace is fired in an ancient Japanese technique called Raku. The pieces are fired outdoors in a kiln until they reach their melting point. Once the glaze has melted the kiln is shut off and the piece are immediately pulled and placed in a barrel of combustibles. This process creates a beautiful crackle effect from the thermal shock and metallics from the smoke patterns.
