Hanging Raku Cone Planter (Large)

Hanging Raku Cone Planter (Large)

The Hanging Raku Cone Planter is fired in an ancient Japanese technique called Raku. The pieces are fired outdoors in a kiln until they reach their melting point. Once the glaze has melted the kiln is shut off and the piece are immediately pulled and placed in a barrel of combustibles. This process creates a beautiful crackle effect from the thermal shock and metallics from the smoke patterns.

Every Raku piece is unique and has variation in the crackle pattern and metallics. If you would like to see the specific planters we have available before you purchase, please send us an email through our contact form and we can send you pictures.
